I thought I would share a few thoughts now that I am a couple weeks into outback ownership.
First, these roof racks are awesome, their profile is akin to a spoiler wing for all the downforce. That means I have two removable roof wings haha.
Second, ground clearance is awesome, the liwest point of the car sits a little below the wheels centerline. 8.7" is nice to have.
Third, the wheel gap sucks, it is not uniform as to allow extra wheel travel. This is great in the sense that it allows extra suspension travel. But it sucks in that I have had a couple ice chunks get stuck in the wheel wells and it is annoying to hear it rattling/scraping around. Further they are difficult to remove when you try prying them out by hand.
My solution? Wider, wheel wells...

What year is it? I've got an '02, it's been through many rally trips, a handful of recces, and even a few jumps. Handled it all like a pro.
